Everything Everywhere All At Once (fan promos)

This personal project involved creating a series of promotional videos for the film Everything Everywhere All At Once, directed by Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan, and distributed by A24.

The concept was to create three distinct promos centered around the main characters of the film, but also felt like they belonged to the same set of trailers. The promos were designed to help the audience understand the emotions they may experience throughout the film, which true to the title of the film, has a bit of everything.

This was accomplished by using variations of the song Peaceful Times, composed by Shirō Sagisu. The songs were originally used as the trailer song for the film series, Neon Genesis Evangelion Rebuild.

Promo (daughter)

This promo revolved around the young adult daughter from the family that the film revolves around.

This version uses a mellower version of the song by Shirō Sagisu, titled ande-annonce (garçons). This mellower version of the song helps depict the angst and melancholy of the young adult.

Promo (mother)

This promo revolved around the mother from the family that the film revolves around.

This version uses an instrumental version of the song by Shirō Sagisu, titled Trailer Eva Special. Because this version was instrumental, it allowed space to bring in narration from the mother, helping the audience gain an understanding of the narration and previewing a focus on the mother-daughter relationship within the film.

The upbeat nature of the song helps depicts the upbeat nature of both the father and certain parts of the film. This upbeat nature is also contrasted by the inclusion of the opening narration the promo that also helps the audience understand that the father and the film is also pensive.
